Hi there! I'm Neena, but most commonly go by Ny or Astra.

I am an artist currently residing in NW Oregon. I have been drawing my entire life, mostly expressing myself through animals and other creatures.

I particularly enjoy anthropomorphic characters as a form of self-expression. In a way, it is a loose form of "method acting" for me. At a very basic level, I simply enjoy drawing creatures, whether anthro or not. However, I am working on expanding my skill set, as I have an ever-growing passion to illustrate a wider variety of subjects in different styles. My current goal is to study color and light to become better able to depict emotion and moods in my artwork.

In addition to that, I am slowly delving into woodworking and other physical creative pursuits.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Character Animation, although I am choosing not to pursue that path at the moment. I am on a journey to revive my love for creating again, and I hope that you will enjoy what I have to offer!

Terms of Service

Contents:Section A - Ordering & Contact
Section B - Payments & Refunds
Section C - Rights, Usage, & Privacy
Section D - Work Progress

Section A - Ordering & Contact

1. You must be at least 18 years old to order.2. Understand that the usage of AI is strictly prohibited in any part of doing business with me.3. I do not hold open slots for customers. If I have limited slots, it is first come, first serve. Openings are announced on my social media.4. Before ordering, potential customers may contact me with business-related questions via any social media DMs, or email. After ordering, please keep communications limited to my business email only. The client may communicate at any point during the process. If, in the rare case I give you the ability to contact me about your active order outside of my business email, I do not consent to being contacted after the business process has ended unless otherwise stated.5. I prefer that my customers are able to speak English. Whether you are speaking English or using a translator - all that I require is that I can understand you clearly. If I am having difficulty, I will make a decision as to whether I can provide successful service to you or not.6. Client must accept my style(s)/interpretation(s) as-is. I will not alter my style(s) into something they're not. However, my style varies, and customers are more than welcome to ask for a style that more closely resembles a specific piece I have already done. Please refrain from asking me to draw characters that you expect me to drastically change my style for. If I receive and accept an order with this type of character, expect me to lean towards the species' natural proportions and features. I may also slightly alter the hue/value of a character's colors according to my discretion.

Section B - Payments & Refunds

1. I only accept payments through Stripe. Clients do not need to have a Stripe account to order from me.2. Payments will be processed in USD.3. Typically, full payment is required upfront within 48 hours of placing an order. If the client fails to pay/communicate during this time, the order risks being canceled and the commission slot will re-open to the public.4. Full refunds will be issued for the following reasons:
- client cancels order before any work has been done by the artist.
- artist cancels the order (no matter the progress made).
Please allow 48 hours for me to communicate regarding your refund.
5. Partial refunds will be issued for the following reasons:
- client cancels order after the artist has finished more than approximately half of the first phase (sketching).
In this case, the amount refunded depends on how far the artist has progressed. For example, if I finish 40% of a piece, I will only refund 60% of the amount paid. The client may do what they wish with the partially completed work, according to what is allowed in Section C.
5. NO REFUNDS FOR COMPLETED WORK. Work is considered complete once I receive confirmation from the client. Any changes to the piece after completion are subject to additional charges.6. DO NOT ISSUE CHARGE-BACKS BEFORE COMMUNICATING WITH ME. If you are eligible for a refund according to line 4 and 5, I will never decline you one. I reserve the right to terminate business immediately if the client fails to abide by payment terms.

Section C - Rights, Usage, & Privacy

1. The artist retains all rights to the commissioned artwork. The artist will not use any commissioned artwork for further profit outside of the initial transaction with the customer. The artist does not claim the rights to the characters depicted.2. The client retains rights to any non-profit personal use of their commissioned artwork. This includes but is not limited to: reposting (with credit to the artist), roleplaying, icons/banners/backdrops, etc. Please contact the artist before printing the artwork on any physical items.3. The client MAY NOT use their commissioned artwork for any profitable use, and may not distribute their artwork to another entity who may do so. By commissioning the artist, you are not buying commercial usage rights to the artwork.4. The client MAY NOT edit the commissioned artwork without prior permission. This includes commissioning another artist to finish a partially completed work from me. PLEASE ASK. Edits allowed without permission include: applying filters, cropping the image, adding a border, or other decorative add-ons that don't drastically alter the image's depiction.5. The client retains the right to their privacy. The client may request that their artwork and/or username be kept private or anonymous. In such cases, the artist will not post the artwork in any gallery - public or private.6. The artist retains the right to decide whether they will post the commissioned work in their own galleries. The client does not have the right to ask them to do so. In this case, the client still retains the right to post the artwork themselves.

Section D - Work Progress

1. Completion time for pieces varies heavily unless otherwise stated during a commission opening. I currently work a full-time job and am medically disabled, so I cannot commit to deadlines. However, clients may ask for updates at any time, and I will make sure to notify clients if there is something heavily impacting the completion of the work.2. Typically, I will create an initial sketch to be approved. This sketch can be entirely reworked once for free. Multiple smaller sketch edits are free up to the point when I deem it to be excessive. I will notify the client when fees will be added in their specific case.3. The client may request additional updates AT ANY POINT, FREE OF CHARGE. During each stage, the client is responsible for ensuring the character's design is accurate. Failure to spot flaws before completion may result in fees.4. The client may request that the entire piece be completed without updates. In this case, the client cannot request major changes aside from character design flaws and missed details.5. After delivery of the completed file to the client, please note that the raw file (file with layers), will only be kept for a limited amount of time unless otherwise requested. The client has 6 months to return to the artist regarding additions or alterations to a previously commissioned piece (fees apply). After this time frame, requests for changes will be denied.6. The client does not need to wait until another commission opening to request changes to a piece. Any time within 6 months after the artwork has been completed, the client may contact the artist about changes. Payment for changes will be taken upfront, but these changes will not take priority over any new commissions currently in progress.
